Today KEIL provides the installation and maintenance of whole house stand-by generators, zoning systems for forced air systems, ductless and high velocity air conditioning systems, water heaters, high efficiency boilers, dehumidification systems and more.

Since Barbara has taken over KEIL Heating and Air Conditioning, it has grown substantially. In 1994 Barbara Keil took over as the company president and added an indoor air quality department to the list of services KEIL Heating and Air Conditioning provides.

It was at this point that a full sheet metal shop was added to the business.

In 1985 George Keil sold the oil company to Fredrick’s Fuel and moved the business across the street to 259 Hamburg Turnpike in order to focus exclusively on the installation, service and maintenance of gas fired heating equipment and central air conditioning systems. Later in 1960, KEIL opened its first location in the Riverdale area where the company provided delivery of fuel oil, installation, service, and maintenance of oil fired heating equipment.

KEIL was one of the first heating companies to install central air conditioning in homes throughout Northern New Jersey. In the early 1960's KEIL transitioned from just heating to heating and air conditioning.

At that same time KEIL began installing and servicing oil fired heating equipment. Henry's sons George, Henry and Don joined the company and began delivering fuel oil to the homes that converted from coal. Eventually, the horse drawn carriages were replaced by the modern trucks of the era.Īs times changed, so did KEIL. KEIL Heating and Air Conditioning was founded by Henry Keil in 1908 when he first started delivering hygienic ice and coal by horse-drawn carriage to homeowners along the New Jersey side of the Hudson River. Since 1908 a KEIL family member has been at the helm of the company, providing the very best products, installations and customer service. KEIL Heating and Air Conditioning is the oldest family owned heating and cooling company in New Jersey.
